The team consists of some experienced digital marketing enthusiasts that have been working in the industry for more than 10 years.
The meaning of Kapwa
So much of our philosophy as a business is encapsulated within our name.
Kapwa is a Filipino word that can be defined simply as ‘togetherness’. But it also goes as far as referencing broader concepts including humanity, compassion as well as recognising a shared space and identity.

Mel started his online marketing career in 2008 at a full-service agency in Munich. He developed an expertise in SEO and SEM (Google Adwords), creates optimised content and manages several Google Adwords accounts for our clients.

Creative Director
Bea is our creative director, has a lot of executive experience and makes sure that your content is error-free, up to date and engaging.
John
CEO & Head of SEO
John started to build HTML websites in the last millennium and got into blogging and online marketing in 2007. He also worked with Mel in Munich and later on joined a digital marketing agency in Melbourne, Australia. He created and managed SEO strategies for companies in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and the US – some of them Fortune 500’s
Angel
Chief Financial Officer
Angel has been working in accounting and financial roles for over 10 years. She juggles her time performing accounting, HR and administrative functions.
Jude
Senior Web Developer
Jude has worked with over 40 global web projects making him a prolific senior web developer. He is also the team’s master troubleshooter. He is a native of Misamis Occidental who continues to improve his craft by reading programming books and watching video tutorials.
Loloy
Senior Web Developer
Loloy is a native of Zamboanga del Sur now residing in Cebu. He specializes in back end coding and mobile app (Android) development.
Daisy
Junior Web Developer
Daisy is also a native of Cebu. She works primarily on front-end web development and is keen at expanding an array of expertise in Javascript, CSS, HTML and more. During her down time, she loves to read articles, play chess or ride a bike. She likes to think of herself as an ambitious woman with a great appetite for learning, especially on topics such as programming.
Jayson
Junior Web Developer
Jayson is also from Cebu. He works well in both front and back-end web development and is skilled at troubleshooting web issues. When not busy, he enjoys his free time skateboarding, playing musical instruments and watching video tutorials on programming. He also loves to do some personal projects whether it’s web, mobile or desktop application. His motto is: while(!(success = try() ));
Shirna
Junior Web Developer
Shirna is also from Cebu. Her main tasks are front-end web development and she is continually learning to broaden her knowledge in Javascript, PHP, HTML and many more by watching tutorial videos and reading forums with programming topics. She believes that success comes from being yourself.
Nova
Accounting Assistant
Nova is in charge of maintaining accounting records. She also prepares invoices on behalf of the accounting head and employers. In general, she assists the accounting head. She believed in these mottos: “Don’t worry about being successful, but work toward being significant and the success will naturally follow” and “A little progress each day adds up to big results”. She also loves to read books, watch movies and dance.
Elsa
Content Marketing Manager
Elsa is our content manager for German-speaking clients and has worked with John & Mel for almost 10 years already. She has also a strong SEO background and supports the account management team. She writes articles of all kinds: Blog posts, company profiles, editorials and many more. Since she started in 2012, she has come to understand how many different topics there are, that are on people’s minds and that move and inspire them. She cares about dedicated content creation and reliable research.

Digital Marketing Strategist
Martin has a very strong strategic background and manages several projects. He is a well-rounded consultant and digital marketing manager with website development, SEO, and SEA skills.
Markus
Media Designer
Markus’ favorite topic is do-it-yourself home improvement – he has a lot of experience and knowledge in this area, and it shows. When he worked as a media designer, he acquired many skills in things like image editing und digital design. He is also very interested in computer technology.
Aline
Project Manager
Aline worked more than 10 years for a search engine in Germany as research and data analyst and in marketing. Now she supports clients as project and account manager. For German speaking clients she writes SEO optimized articles and supports them with keyword analysis and back links. When she is not working she likes to take long walks at the beach, play tennis, practice yoga and be creative.
